ChatGPT developer mode can connect to remote MCP servers on the web. Scrollport uses OAuth, so you never paste an API key into ChatGPT.

Developer mode gives ChatGPT access to external tools and is intended for people who understand those tools. Review tool calls before approval; Scrollport still applies its own wallet balance, spend limit and confirmation controls.

Connect

Enable developer mode

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login, then turn on Developer mode.

Create a developer mode app

Open ChatGPT's app settings, select +, then create a developer mode app for a remote MCP server.

Add Scrollport

Enter these exact values, then choose the automatic OAuth client setup under Advanced OAuth settings:

Name the connection Scrollport. OAuth setup is an implementation detail, not the product name.
Sign in and authorize

ChatGPT opens Scrollport in the browser. Sign in with Google, review the connection name, scopes and return host, then select Authorise connection. Google sign-in identifies you but does not authorize the app by itself.
Start a chat and verify

Start a new chat, choose Developer mode from the plus menu, and select Scrollport. Ask ChatGPT to call the free wallet tool and confirm that it returns your balance before running metered work.

Disconnect and revoke

Remove or disable Scrollport in ChatGPT's app settings.

Then open Agent access in Scrollport and revoke the matching MCP connection. This invalidates both access and refresh tokens while leaving every other connection working.
